Bridging the Visible and the Invisible - Bridging the Visible and the Invisible -
Magos is the only finger hand-tracking solution that provides clinical data. Patients wear gloves and instantly provide data to the health-care provider, entirely revolutionizing finger/hand rehabilitation status assessments.
Engineering
Magos technology disrupts both the computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and computer-aided design (CAD) markets in XR. In product manufacturing, Magos enables engineers to test scenarios and design early prototypes, driving productivity and significantly cutting down time and cost of materials.
Education
VR/AR learning provides an immersive teaching and training experience that allows users to interact with environments around them. Magos enhances the current cutting edge educational and training application in XR by initiating through a user’s finger.
Telerobotics
One of the most compelling aspects of telerobotics is that its goal is not to replace humans and human functions but to enable humans with new technology that allows them to perform tasks safely and remotely. From the comfort of their own home, anyone can put on a set of Magos gloves and tele-operate a robotic hand anywhere else in the world - even thousands of miles away.
Gaming
Magos technology heightens both AR and VR videogame experience by replacing state of the art controllers-joysticks with gamers’ hands and fingers.

WHAT IS MAGOS SOLUTION?
MAGOS is the next-gen Human Computer Interaction device formost due to the 1/15° accuracy in finger tracking. This evidence makes MAGOS able not only to be the dominant player in XR applications but also to provide solutions in Healthcare and Robotic industries with use of clinical data.

WHAT CAN I USE THE MAGOS FOR?
MAGOS gloves constitute a technology platform that can be exploited in multiple use cases. At the moment the most applicable are:

  1. As a Human Computer Interaction (HCI) device in Extended Reality (XR) applications
  2. In Healthcare for collection of hand/finger clinical data
  3. As a Human Computer Interaction (HCI) device in Telerobotics. Both for the control and training of robotic hands

HOW DO THE MAGOS WORK?
MAGOS is combination of 4 high technology subsystems:

  1. Finger tracking
Each finger joint is tracked by unique sensing technology developed in house Hand orientation
  2. Hand orientation is achieved by the usage of a gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer sensor
  3. Hand Indoor positioning
HTC vive tracking system is utilized for hand location
  4. Haptic feedback
A vibration sensor located in each finger can provide the “touch” sense to the user.

The total system has high data rates (up to 10kHz) and through its wireless interconnectivity it can provide real finger and hand motion data.

HOW ARE THE MAGOS GLOVES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SIMILAR SOLUTIONS?
MAGOS exhibits a lot of additional competitive advantages based on its custom made sensors:

  1. Plug & play solution (high UX)
  2. High accuracy equal to 1/15° in every joint
  3. Real time tracking (up to 10kHz)
  4. No need for calibration (user friendly)
  5. Being lightweight/ portable (<200 g)
  6. Capable to operate in various environments (indoor/ outdoor);
  7. Freedom of movement for user’s hands

ARE THE MAGOS GLOVES AVAILABLE NOW?
No. The BETA version will be available for pre-ordering in early September 2020.

EXISTING INTERCONNECTIONS

  1. Bluetooth and USB
  2. Unity game engine
  3. Already tested and integrated with Oculus Rift S and HTC Vive Cosmos.

DATA RATE

  1. Finger tracking: up to 10kHz
  2. Hand Orientation: up to 100 Hz
  3. Indoor localization sensor: up to 90 Hz

POWER SUPPLY

  1. Rechargeable battery

POWER AUTONOMY

  1. ~3 hours

STARTUP TIME

  1. Less than 500msec
  1. The demo includes two scenes, in the first one the capabilities of our solution are illustrated and in the second one interaction use cases are provided.
  2. The two scenes contain animations that are plug and play in the unity editor without any modification required by the user
  3. The interaction scene illustrates via the range of movement of fingers and hand the ability to interact with virtual objects in simple and complex ways.
  4. User interface will display the raw data of every joint in every timestamp.
